Why does Samsung S8 plus get app updates earlier than the Samsung S8 regular?

I have noticed that my friends who own a Samsung s8+ get snapchat, instagram, app store, etc updates way earlier than standard Samsung S8 users. Is this true or is there something wrong with my device?

Also, can it be because I bought my Samsung off a third party distributor such as best buy? Let know

A lot of times apps on the Play store are released in batches, if I'm not mistaken. Similar to how some people get OTA system updates before others with the same phone. Or they could maybe be using beta versions, which are not released to the general public.

When you hear that someone has gotten an update for a particular app, open Play, go to the app and see if the Install button has changed into an Update button. If it has, tap it. (If you're sure you want to update the app - sometimes they ruin the app by "updating" it.)
