For some reason I can't see all my numbers when I try and use the number pad screen to do a quick search for a number. Eg if I go to the number pad and use the numbers to type in dave I get 3 daves from my phone book but if I go into contacts I have 5 daves saved. I suspect it's cos some of the numbers are saved to the sim card or something but I haven't been able to find a way to move them etc. Have tried exporting them to the phone or Samsung account but they won't show up unless I go the long way through the contacts menu.

Export your contacts to a file. Import that file to your contacts and make sure you import them to your Google account.

Then go to Google Contacts and merge duplicates. Go into Contacts and eliminate all the numbers that aren't Google account numbers.

In the future, when you add a number, add it as a Google account number.
