Android Central Question

On facebook. Trusted poster but didn't click on link rather began to watch on facebook.
Link opened anyway.
Results:
1 non-responsive screen
2 screen flicked to different parts of my phone settling on text messages
3 number '6' began to appear many times
4 then screen appeared seeming to advertise an 'emergency' something or other
with Agree and Disagree buttons to Terms and Cons

Action:
1 tried turning off phone - no response
2 immediately took off back and pulled out battery and sim

Now not sure what to do.
Websites are helpful in what to do in the future - ad blockers, anti-virus, removing malware etc (which I will do!)
But now should I put the battery back in?!

Welcome to Android Central! Assuming that you didn't actually agree to install some downloaded app, chances are that it was just a browser popup that appeared, designed to scare you into downloading some bogus antivirus app. I think it's reasonable to try restarting to the phone to see if it works normally. If you want to be sure, you could boot into Safe Mode and see if there are any suspicious apps installed since the last time you checked: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-28456
