Keyboard changing words to completely different words

[Android Central Question]

So my keyboard has been changing words predicatively to completely the wrong word, for example, I type 'hello', and the 2 suggested words are 'Pickets' and 'vinegar'. So half the time, I'm typing words and the keyboard is changing them, like I'm getting the spelling wrong, making texts completely unreadable. Some of these are even different languages.
Have checked settings: Only language is English (UK), and settings are the same as another phone running the same version of Android.

Running stock Google Keyboard, OS Marshmallow. Motorola X Play.

Find the keyboard in settings... Apps... Force stop it and wipe its cache. And data.
Start it again. If our still plays up, uninstall it then reinstall it in your device.
Start there...
