    Until you have a head unit that supports wireless Android Auto, yes.

    The "you skip the frustration of having the wrong kind of cable" part of that article seems a bit not-too-well-thought-out. Doesn't almost everyone have a cable in the car that can connect to their phone these days? (For the few cents the cable costs, why would someone not have one? [I see loads of them on eBay for 79 cents.])
