Jvc model kw-m730bt android auto/ galaxy s7

[Android Central Question]

Everytime I plug my s7 via usb port it says unsupported device. Which is not allowing me to access the Android auto feature in my jvc unit. I've put my phone in developer mode turned on usb debugging ama switched to mtp mode still nothing what could be the issue? Noted I have a usb retention cable due to the fact that i already have a usb port on my dash in my 2011 silverado.

Try turn off the auto connection/ auto start on your head unit; it may be on by default.

In the AA app also try turning off the out of pocket/purse usb setting; all this is in the AA settings(the wheel).

You will have to somehow how get MTP ENABLED.

USB PH TO HEAD UNIT MUST PAIRED AND ACTIVE
ALSO CABLE IS PLUGGED IN AFTER HEAD UNIT STARTS.
