Android Central Question

So I spilt water into my pixel 2 this morning - it was fine, I didn't worry since I know it's water resistant.
The battery just ran out so I put it on charge and it will not power on, a little red flash light appears in the top right hand corner and the battery charge symbol that usually displays on the front is no where to be seen.
Will this be covered under the warranty or will I have to claim through the insurance? Tia

It's water resistant, it can't take even a light spray of water. (It can be submerged in 1 meter of water - that's a pressure of about 1.6 PSI. A little spitting is over 10PSI and can get into the phone.)

It's covered under insurance. I doubt that it would slip past inspection as a warranty replacement.

Pixel 2 water resistance is a joke ! , Just a simple splash , would affect the speaker and might make break the usb port. I got my phone replaced twice because of this !!

Pixel 2 is only a camera , apart from than that the phone sucks !!
