HTC U11 Screen Problem

[Android Central Question]

Hello, all!

When scrolling through some darker colored photos on my phone, I noticed this strange red circle/blotch on my phone about a few centimeters wide. There's another, much fainter and smaller red blotch above it and off to the side. They only show up on black/navy backgrounds. Can it be easily fixed?

I'm the OP. Should I take it to the phone carrier I got it from or go directly to HTC? Or does it even matter?

That can depend on the carrier and how recently you bought it. Most carriers will only handle a return within the first 2 weeks or so, but I've also heard of some instances where the carrier store actually took care of the replacement significantly later. Since the carrier store probably handles replacements faster, check with them first. If they say it's too late, then contact HTC directly.
