Android Central Question

My OnePlus 5 performs perfectly on cellular and on every wifi except my home network. When connected to home network, my device with often appear to be connected to WiFi with 2 bars and will function properly until in a few minutes everything will be unable to load despite no change to the connected wifi status. I am able to quickly remedy this problem by turning the wifi setting off and back on again, until it resurfaces a few minutes later. This has been going on for months. I have cleared all network data and cleared the phone cache with no effect. Interestingly the problem seems to become significantly worse when I am using my phone in my room which is far from the router. However, the distance should not be a connectivity issue as even when nothing loads it still appears to have 2 bars and my laptop and PS4 have no issue and they are also in my room. Any ideas?

Welcome to Android Central! 2 bars on your phone doesn't necessarily mean the same thing as 2 bars on your laptop. It could still be a range issue. Does it work normally if you're relatively closer to the router? If so, you might want to consider getting a range extender, or possibly changing to a mesh wi-fi system.

You can see if rebooting the router helps (unplug its power for 30 seconds, then plug it back in). See this guide for more ideas: http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...roubleshooting-wi-fi-connection-problems.html
