Is it safe to open back cover of phone while it's on?

Safe to remove back cover of phone?

Was wondering if it was safe to take back cover of phone off and look at the contents inside while it's off or is there an laser or something that can harm me / vision ( might sound like a really dumb question)

It doesn't sound like a dumb question, but a sensible one.
So far as I know, there are no such perils.

While I am not a tech or a phone repair person, my personal opinion would be that it would be a very bad idea to remove the back of your phone while it is still on.

If you remove the cover of the phone, while it is still on, either the phone might short out or you might get shocked.
