Pre-Ordered Through Verizon

[Android Central Question]

So I pre-ordered my S9+ through Verizon, and I know they're are shipping the pre-orders early BUT I am not a Verizon Up member, so does that mean I basically pre-ordered for nothing? I am going to get it at the same time as the rest of the world?

By the way, a pre-order does not assure you delivery before availability date, it just gets you into line to get your phone on or around the availability date.
