I have a limited data plan (4GB) which is normally fine for me as I use around 3GB monthly.

This month I have got an android watch and realised that the Google play services has used 1.4 GB of data. By looking in the settings, android wear has used 1.24GB of data used by Google play services.

I am using Samsung Galaxy S7 - running 7.0 stock and up to date.

Is there any way of stopping android wear abusing google play services over the mobile network data?

    Thank you for reading.

I don't think wear will continue using that much data. This first month there would have been some ekstra download and app update.

    Hi Onkel,

Thanks for coming back. I do see that the android wear has been updated and other apps had updates as well. I have done that over Wifi, in which case the Google play services (for android wear) has used around 2.98 GB of wifi data. I then disable any automatic updates and it rather set to notify me when an update becomes available.

Is there any way to add a screenshot to these comments?

    Thanks.
