In,the picture gallery, the photos and screenshots are huge. When I tried posing them on FB,mobile, not app, they posted an enlarge part of the my image rather than resizing it.

That's normally done on the site, not in the phone. The site has a maximum area set for the picture. If the picture is larger the person writing the site has a few choices:

The site can reject the image and notify you that it's too large (and, hopefully, give you the maximum size, so you can resize it properly).

It can resize the image. (The problem is that a lot of images that are made smaller get so badly - corrupted is the only word - that they're useless. Doing it yourself, at least you can control that, and resize it in a way that keeps it looking okay. Paint.net does a pretty good job of that. Just copy the picture, create a new picture of the size you need and paste into it.)

It can show a portion of your picture that fits in the maximum size the site has in that spot - which is what you're getting.

If you can look in the HTML code for the web page and see the h and v values for the <img> tag your picture is going into, you can resize the picture first, then send the smaller one up. (And email the webmaster, suggesting that they change the site to not accept huge pictures that are, essentially, worthless.)

The phone has no way of knowing what the maximum size should be unless whoever writes the web browser writes code to do that - and no one is going to write code to make a web browser resize a picture you're sending to a site anyway.
