Android Central Question

Hi. I love Google Docs now. As a writer, it's the first place I like to go.

My problem... I want to use an E-Ink device for writing. The device has Android 4.

I'm reading reports of Google Docs and Drive not working on Android 4 (and maybe not on E-Ink devices).

Anyone know if this is a problem? if there's a work around? And no it can't be upgraded.

Thank you
jb

Welcome to Android Central! What's the name of the e-ink device, and which exact version of Android is it running? The current version of Google Docs requires Android 5.0 or higher: https://support.google.com/docs/answer/2375082?co=GENIE.Platform=Android&hl=en. You could try looking for the apk file of a previous version of Google Docs that still supports something lower than 5.0, but sideloading apk's is always risky, since the source where you find the apk usually doesn't vet the files for malware.
