When you say it "just turns off," are you saying it acts like you pulled the battery (and not doing the shutdown processes)? Is it going this at something higher than 0% battery, like at 20%?

If you could create an account to reply and answer those questions, it would be helpful. My initial thought, given the age of that phone and the way you worded your post, makes me think the battery is simply worn out and due for replacement.

I'm not sure about their problem but it seems similar to my issue. I have the S8, and ever since the Oreo update which broke multiple things, reset settings and such.. I also no longer have low battery warnings. My battery dropped to 2% one day and the only reason I know this is because I glanced at my phone and saw a tiny little 2% battery icon on it and was all "oh ****", it dropped to 1% while charging still too and I had to close a bunch of things to try and boost the power gain.

I later tested this again when my phone wasn't at nuclear reactor temperatures from having fast charge and such going for an hour. It dropped to 15% which is what it seems to consider low battery, but it gave no sound, no vibration, no notification of any kind at all. It dropped to 5% which is what it seems to call critical, still nothing. I began charging again and no, my sound was all on and there was no do not disturb mode activated or anything. There's absolutely no reason at all the phone should not have notified me. It used to before the Oreo update, then it stopped after.

I'm still annoyed about the update because I had it set to manually update only and the update forced its self on me at a bad time, causing my hone to get really hot and burn through 1.4GB of my freshly obtained high speed data for that month while I was trying to do other things. It seems this update screwed up a lot of things, I wouldn't be surprised if it also ****ed up the notification system.
