Android Central Question

I recently used Smart Switch to transfer Contacts, Photos & Videos, Notes, WiFi settings from iPhone 6 to Galaxy S8. I have been experiencing below average battery life on my S8 even after disabling sync, unnecessary background processes, AOD, etc. I have been reading through this forum and I found out that a lot of people seem to link smart switch with bad battery life and prefer to setup the S8 from scratch. I just want to know if this applies to iPhone to Android switch. Thanks!

Welcome to Android Central! One possible issue would be if any media files became corrupted during the transfer. A corrupt media file (i.e., photo, video, or music) could cause the system's Media Scanner to get hung up on that file, which increases battery usage.
