Dialing pad keeps adding numbers why ?

When I got my galaxy amp prime if you dial and call whenever you hide the pad, and ask to show it back it was blank, and if you put any numbers every time it was hidden and put back it was blank. Now if you hide it and show it again it will keep the numbers and keeps adding them. And you end up with a train of numbers and keeps adding them. I asked Samsung and was told to use the back option and it should erase them but doesn't work ether

There should be a little box with an arrow pointing to the left at the right end of the box with numbers. Tap that once for each number you want to delete.
