Why does my Galaxy S9+ not reconnect to Chevy Traverse bluetooth?

My Galaxy S9+ will not consistantly connect to my Chevy Traverse bluetooth. Sometimes the phone will connect automatically, but most of the time I need to sync manually. I thought that my Fitbit bluetooth may be the issue but I still have this problem after removing the Fitbit from my phone's bluetooth. I have done hard resets, toggled my bluetooth etc. Once I manually connect, the connection is fine. Any suggestions? Thanks
