How to connect S9 via USB to Subaru outback without mirrorlink messing up?

Everytime I connect to car,...mirrorlink loads and stays popped up, but will not work.

Your car unit might need an update for it to work with the S9 line. But if it doesn't work and you just don't want it to keep popping up, then disable the 'Connect to car via USB' option in the phone's Mirrolink settings.
