Android Central Question

My phone is a samsung galaxy A5 (2016) and Ive had it for over a year with no issues so a password has been required until recently. I have not changed any settings ad Ive tried resetting the passwords, the phone and done security checks but with no solution. Every time I try to search it up, all the results are just about how to get into a locked phone. I can just swipe on my home-screen and get in

Does this happen everywhere you use the phone, or only in certain locations? It sounds an issue with Trusted Places, which gives you the option to leave your phone unlocked when you’re in a chosen location.

Or with the screen timing out a lot sooner than the lock screen times in. The two settings are separate. If, say, the lock screen is set to 30 minutes, but the screen is set to time out in 30 seconds, once the screen times out, you can swipe for 29-1/2 minutes before you have to unlock the lock screen. (And if you swipe after 27 minutes, the timing cycle starts over.)
