Android Central Question

Hi, wondered if someone can help. my Daughter added her friends number to contacts in the form of 7887 XXXXXX and made an error of not including the first Zero. The number should of been 07887 XXXXXX. She tried to send a message but obviously failed. Her friend then sent her a message, all ok. However when my daughter replied it failed because it used the original number with Zero missing.

I have been into contacts and edited the number, added the zero, also tried adding +44, both of these work when my daughter phones her friend. However, messaging is continuing to use the original number with the zero missing.

Any ideals of how to update

Using HUAWEI phone with android 5.0

Thank you for any support.

Write down anything in the contact she needs. Delete the contact. Go to Settings/Apps/Contacts and clear the cache - only the cache, not the data.

Then add that friend back - with the correct number, and add back any information she wrote down because she doesn't remember it normally.

It should work after that.
