How can one person NOT get my individual text but CAN get my group text?

Just got the S8 and there is one person i am trying to send texts to that is not getting my individual texts but that person does get a text as part of a group. In return I get their text message either way (individual or group). I do not have that number blocked and have restarted the phone. Never had that issue before with my S6.

Individual texts are SMS and Group ones are MMS (like e-mail, but for phones). If their SMS settings are wrong and MMS are correct, that could explain things.

Also, if your carrier supports 'Enhanced Messaging' and they're not using the stock messaging app, they might be receiving the individual text, just can't see it (3rd party apps can't access those).

Can you get their individual messages? If you reply to their incoming message, do they still not receive them? Any issues texting anyone else?

Quick "fix" until you figure it out - always sent individual texts to that person as a group text - to him and to yourself.
