How can I put the phones contact app back on my system?

I accidentally removed the contacts app icon from the bar at the bottom of my screen. I can not find out how to get it back. I can see the Google contacts app icon. But the app I am looking for was the other one... I think it's the huawei own one. Any help appreciated.

Have you looked in your app drawer? If there, long-press, drag and drop to where you want it.

Bear in mind also that you can use Google Contacts as well, and sync that with your Huawei Contacts.

If you had your contacts entered as Google contacts, any Contacts app will work. If not, in the future make sure that you do enter all your apps as Google contacts. Until then, you can move the contacts to different accounts in some Contacts apps. If you can't, see the Contacts section of Backing up an Android Device.
