receiving email reminders set in outlook to my S9 phone

When I set reminder alarms on my emails in outlook on my desktop the reminders show up on my S9 via the default mail app connected through Microsoft exchange.
I cannot clear the reminders from my phone without them also clearing from my desktop.

How can I stop the reminders set on my desktop from pushing to my phone? or clear the notification without clearing the reminder?

The reminders do not belong to the device. They belong to the email. Thus all devices reading those emails will see the reminders, as one would expect.

Your best bet is to hit the snooze button on the reminders when you see them on the "wrong" device, assuming your email has the snooze option.
