Phone turn on takes so long

[Android Central Question]

When I turn my phone on I have to watch a little picture show involving toads and people doing backflips, I really have no interest in seeing that every time I log on. It takes about 20/30 seconds before the phone is ready to use, that could make a hell of a difference if you need to make an emergency call, is there any way to disable to backflipping? Thank you for your time/help.

Welcome to the forums. That's the boot animation and there's no way to shorten that process. Smartphones, or any electronic device, take some time to start all the processes needed for normal usage and the animation is just a way to keep the screen, and your eyes, busy while this process (boot) completes.

If you think you may need to make an emergency call, keep the phone turned on. (I'm 75, so any time I leave the house - where I have a landline - I have my cellphone turned on. At my age, who can tell?)
