[Android Central Question]

Hi all

about 2 days I started getting the annoying Congratulations, you have won pop-up, wanting me to "spin" for a prize. It first started when I went to eBay ( not the APP)

I have not installed any apps in months.

I use Chrome

I ran a virus check, and everything is clear.

I changed to Firefox a few hours ago, but have not had the chance to see if I get the "congratulations" pop-up

It's coming from facebook.com-apple.com (three P's, not two)

I have tried to disable/ uninstall updates and reinstall Chrome but still get the message.

I really do not want to do a FDR

please help!!!

I tried booting in to safe mode / still had the issue. No new apps have been installed nor any downloads show in my download list.

I have also tried wipe system cache and still have the problem.

I just did a FDR, and still having this issue
please help.

I think this happened from visiting a website
but I have no new apps installed

Okay. Welcome as a new member.

You could try clearing your browser search data for an appropriate period of time....the last few days would seem about right. That's in your browser settings, under Privacy.

Does this happen only when using home wifi, or on mobile data too?

I started getting this, the only new app was the one from Aldi, uninstalled that, rebooted, and haven't had the issue since. Who knows.

Cellular data only, no home internet or wifi.
