My emails will not come through unless I refresh the page

[Android Central Question]

I'm using a Samsung tablet. My inbox comes up but when I try to open an email the screen goes blank. If I close the mail app down and open it again, it works, but I have to do it every time.

Welcome to Android Central! Which email app are you using -- the stock Email app, the Gmail app, or something else? Which email provider? Are the sync/refresh settings for your email set to automatic or manual?
