Too Many Blocked Messages

I have have an S8+ on T-Mo. I have over 65K blocked SMS messages. Is there anyway to clear out those without having to select them? I do not have my phone rooted, so I can't get to them in the folder. I have tried deleting them, but the phone can not handle it or more likely, I just do not have the patience to let it try and process for 10 minutes. Let me know if have any insights. Thank you!

I take it that your SMS app is not actually blocking/rejecting the messages but moving them into a "spam" folder or the like?

Which SMS app are you using?
