    I'm using an Xperia phone on Android 8.0.0, and feel like I've tried absolutely everything to prevent the Google search app from storing history / autofill. However, something is still getting stored - if I start typing into this app while my device is offline, previous searches are autosuggested (with a little clock icon next to them).

    How can I stop this happening? My settings:
    * The app is not signed into a Google account
    * Enable Recent is off
    * Signed out search activity is off
    * Offline search - "always retry searches" is off
    * Auto-complete - "show trending stories" is off
    * Everything under Personal - "show content from..." is off

    I don't use the Chrome browser and I'm not signed into that either.

    In addition to not wanting these stored, I don't even seem to be able to delete them individually - a long press and "Delete" just brings up the error "Couldn't remove an item from history."

    Grateful for any help!
