Why is TECNO DP7CPRO charging and draining so fast.

[Android Central Question]

Any time I charge my phone it increases fast after I've unplug it from the charger it reduces really fast and when the battery gets to 39% the phone shuts down by itself and if I try to switch it back on, it'll only show the start up screen then shuts down again. Please how can I fix it, I've tried switching the battery/buying a new one but it gives me the same result.

Welcome to Android Central! Does it happen in Safe Mode as well? On most Android devices, while powered on, press and hold Power until the Power Off menu appears. Press and hold the Power Off selection until the Safe Mode prompt appears. Tap OK.
