Android Central Question

Hello, I recenly moved somephotos from my downloads folder to a new folder to sort out the files, and a little later I noticed about 1600 photos gone, as well as a few other folders in the meantime. Nothing personal is lost but I'd like to try and get them back if possible since not all of them were backed up. Using samsung note 8 on verizon, unrooted

Since you have to root the phone to recover deleted files (which those are), and you have to install an undelete app (the free version of DiskDigger undelete will do pictures), you may lose a few, but that's what you're going to have to do.

In the future don't Move, Copy. If the copy works, delete the originals.

Thank you for the info. I have not rooted before, but I would very much like to restore these photos. Is this process relatively easy? and if so, which would be the best way to back up all my phone info, so when I do this, I can go back to normal? and if rooting resets everything on my device, how would I go about bringing the right information in to get it recovered? I am new to all of this.
