i have a note 4 from verizon but the person i bought the phone from , he had t-mobile . with a t-mobile sim . does this mean that the phone is network unlocked already after trying my boost mobile sim in the note 4 it put the phone in 3g and it freezes

Welcome to Android Central! So the phone was originally from Verizon, but the person you bought it from was using it on T-Mobile? That means the phone is carrier-unlocked.
