So today when I woke up I saw the notification LED blinking on my phone and when I checked it I saw this Google Assistant notification (Image here: puu.sh/AbhBe/88625a3618.jpg ). The thing is my Google Assistant is turn off and I made sure to turn everything I hate from Google off as well (notifications on weather, traffic, etc.).
Doing this:

1. On your phone, touch and hold the Home button.
2. On the top right, tap More and then Settings.
3. Next to "Google Assistant," turn off the switch.

doesn't work since "it wasn't ON" in the first place! Tapping "Turn off" doesn't do anything either.
Problem is this stupid notification won't go away no matter what I do. I didn't even update the Google app since December last year so I don't know why this is popping out now... I have auto updates off and only update the games and apps that I use.
