Moto G4 - does not connect to website

[Android Central Question]

All my apps such as Facebook, Messenger are working fine on the phone with WiFi and/or data. When I google search, it searches fine. I select "website", I get the error "No app found to open the URL" message.

I cleared cache. I went in app settings and hit reset app settings. No help.

This is a recent issue. Could you help?

Welcome to the forums. Is this happening when you search using the Google app or a browser? If the problem is with the Google app you could try this. Open Google app settings - accounts & privacy - make sure that 'Open web pages in the Google app' is enabled.

I tried and the web browser option is greyed out. Does that mean it is a browser issue due to recent update?

Thanks for registering! Do you mean the option marked on my screenshot? Have you disabled Chrome? You could also try this, install a new browser from the Play Store (Opera, Firefox ...), restart the phone and see if the problem persists.

Thank you for the screen shot. That was the option that was greyed out.
Brilliant - Chrome was deleted, so added that first, which resolved the issue.
