Android Central Question

I dropped my Motorola Motorola G4 on the ground. Now the only thing that appears is a bit of light on the upper corner of the phone. I can still hear the phone ring as well as alarms. I have tried to press the power and volume buttons simultaneously for one minute to no avail. I have heard advice like taking the battery out and pressing the power button for one minute but I don’t know if I can remove the battery without ruining it. Can I fix this on my own or do I have to take it to a shop?

Either (you hope) the cable to the screen has popped off, or the screen is shot. But if it hit hard enough to damage the screen it might have damaged the motherboard - so when you bring it to a repair shop, as belodion said, be sure to ask them to stress the motherboard a bit to make sure that it doesn't need replacement too. If it does, the repair is going to cost more than a new replacement. (The most expensive I've seen it for is from Newegg, for about $160.)
