Some Apps only work on WiFi, and refuse to work on data. How can I fix?

OK, everything was fine. Then one-by-one a few of my apps started to refuse to work on data, and only work on WiFi (very annoying as Uber stopped working, as did the Play Store itself). Re-installing Apps does not help. Weirder still - I got a new phone, and brand new SIM. But when I copied my Apps over from one phone to another the very same Apps have the very same problem! Indicating a software problem as all hardware is brand new. Yes, deleting and re-installing these Apps does not help on the new phone either. I am completely perplexed. Please help.

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone, and which carrier? You're able to use mobile data for other things, like the browser?

Check your APN settings and make sure they're correct for your carrier. If they are, then see if you can temporarily disable IPv6 within the APN settings, and see if that helps.
