Note field in Google Contacts displays differently on phone than on web.
I have long utilized the note field in Google Contacts to store various information catchall style though now that I have a smartphone it struggles with it, for instance being unable to display the whole, long field, many paragraphs worth. So I've been reforming, separating info out into additional contact records, work I do on my PC.
The problem is the phone display doesn't display this new, trimmed down note, only the old long bloated one. And this despite that the contact IS apparently syncing since if I change say the name field at one end the other reflects it.
But since this appears to be a bug related to my own particular behavior, this is how I'm going to solve it. I will create an entirely new contact and paste the slimmed down note into it. Yup, that of course works. Sometimes the manual fix is still best.
