My S7's frozen after an update...

[Android Central Question]

Ran a software update overnight, and now my S7 is stuck in a startup loop: Sansung logo, then a window saying "Android is starting, optimising apps", then screen goes off, blue LED illuminates briefly, then back to the Samsung logo. Seem unable to access the startup menu to do a hard reset or anything, the Power and Volume Down thing just initiates the Galaxy title screen, then it reverts to the same loop. Any suggestions? Pretty desperate as I'm expecting a call later today...

Welcome to Android Central! Try forcing a shutdown by pressing and holding Power and Vol Down for about 20 seconds. Then boot into Recovery and wipe the cache partition: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-28028
