I just switched from a Verizon Moto Droid to an unlocked Moto G5 Plus. The default messaging app is different ("Messages" vs "Messaging") so I installed the old Messaging app. It works fine for SMS, and is set to the default SMS app. However, if I try to share a contact, Messaging does not show up as an option. The Messages app does show up, along with other apps like Gmail and Skype (and a few that have me scratching my head, like my Kanji Study app!).
Is there a way to get the Messaging app to show up as a means to share a contact? (Phone is not rooted, Messaging app version is 4.4.2-44, phone system version is 7.0 patch level March 1, 2018)
Thanks,
K.
