Why is there a white square on the bottom left side of the screen on the navigation bar?

I'm using a pixel on android p, It appeared after i installed the beta for Android p. Is it just a bug or is there a way to get rid of it.

Hmm, that's different from what I was thinking of. I haven't tried the P beta yet. Does that persist after a reboot?

Yes it does, it would probably go away if i went back to Oreo I'm sure, but i don't mind it for now if you can't get to the bottom of it.

I'm guessing that's a placeholder for some possible nav bar icon that hasn't shown up yet (and may never show up). It doesn't correspond with the location for the context-dependent Back button.
