I have a Samsung Galaxy S8+. Would like to put a phone by the contact name so it pops up when they call.

    Welcome to Android Central!

Open the Contacts app and find the contact you'd like to edit, then tap to open it. In the upper right of the contact card, tap "Edit." You should see a small icon that looks like a camera inside of a circle. Select it, and it'll open your camera to give you the option to take a new photo. Below that, you should see a small icon that looks like a leaf or flower on a gold background - on my GS9, that's on the left-hand side of the strip of icons below the camera viewfinder. Select that and it'll open your photo gallery. Select the photo you want to assign to that contact, position it within the center of the circular frame, then select "Done," then "Save."
