Why can't my Huawei P20 Pro connect to school WiFi?

[Android Central Question]

I am in the York Region District School Board and I cannot connect to school WiFi with my Huawei P20 Pro. I know that the school WiFi requires my school username and password. However, the portal for it never appears, and when I try to press connect, it says that it timed out. When I return to to WiFi selection screen, it says that I have the incorrect password. The strange thing is that on the network screen, it does not tell me to enter a username or password at all.

I'd start with your school districts help desk or IT department before messing with your phone.
