I have a Motorola, my friend a Samsung.

I received a text with convo saying
    “Hi Steve
The owner of the great dane didn’t confirm so are we meeting at my place or *name of shopping mall* village?”

My friend said they never sent it but the message details showed their number.

Has anyone heard of such a thing. The alternative is that they did send it and lied to me.

You can always go to your carriers website and look at the text usage. You can also call you carrier and ask what number the text came from.

Other than that, I think you may have already answered your own question.

    Welcome to Android Central!

Perhaps the friend is simply mistaken and wrote a message intended for someone else and sent it to you by mistake.
