LG Stylo 3 - voicemail

[Android Central Question]

Ive been in "Voicemail" and cannot seem to find anything to turn on to let me know when I have one. I know the voicemail is there because I can press and hold 1 and it will take me to it. How do I get something turned on to let me know "Hey, you have a voicemail?"

Welcome to Android Central! Open your Phone app, tap Menu>Settings>Call Settings>Voicemail, and make sure your voicemail inbox is set up correctly (i.e., the voicemail number that the phone calls is correct for your carrier).
