I'm using a J7 running Nougat. I've been using Podcast Addict for podcasts, but lately whenever it's running, my battery drains about 30-40% per hour, and my phone slows drastically. I looked under running services, and it says Podcast Addict is using around 800MB of RAM. I switched to another app for podcasts, and the problem is fixed. (New app uses around 200MB). I left a rating for Podcast Addict and mentioned that it was using close to a gig of RAM, and the dev responded saying I'm wrong, and that Android caps RAM use for apps and that his app maxes out at 300MB. If this is true, why was I seeing 800MB.
I've also noticed sometimes that when running bluetooth, the RAM use also goes very high... it starts out at around 25MB, but gradually increases to around 250. It'll say 5 processes with 10 services running. Is there something I'm not understanding about these numbers? Why does bluetooth have 10 services running?
