trusted places disappeared

[Android Central Question]

Bonjour everybody i'm new to android i had set up trusted places everything was fine but it disappeared from the smartlock menu someone can help me ??

Yeah it has happened to me. I found this thread by chance while Googling solutions, and after posting in the Google Pixel XL 2 forum here. And another person there said they have the same issue.

Same here on my Samsung Galaxy Note 6 running Oreo. Trusted Place just disappear from the menu. It happen today. How to fix this and what go wrong? Help

Sorry it’s a Galaxy Note 8 running Android Oreo. I have tried wipe cache partition, disable and enable smart lock, but trusted place just continue to be missing from Smart Lock menu. I use it a lot. What go wrong. Help please

This problem happen with Google Play Services version 12.6.85 updated on May 22, 2018. Downgrade to prior version is not possible. Only thing is to uninstall Google Play Services and go back to original version that come with Android 8,reboot, then Trusted Place will come back.

But Google Play Services will update itself, and then Trusted Zplacecwill then go away again. We are rely on Google’s mercy to enable it in future release on Google Play Services

I am directly copy/pasting my response from that forum, but anyway...

I was informed of the below article URL at the official Google boards. It isn't an official Google answer, just from another user there, but the article links to a story the site published 13 months earlier on the topic and how issues were happening even then.

It is what it is, I guess, but I wish we would have been told in advance and/or when it happened, and not found out in this fashion.

This morning, I have rebooted my Galaxy Note 8, and Trusted Place come back.

Recent update of Google play services killed the trusted place option. Go to settings. Apps. All apps. Click on Google play services. Upper right click on remove updates. Trusted places option back
