My galaxy s8. When I call someone it shows a message on the other person's phone. A message I dont want on there anymore. I've looked all through my phone settings and under my own contact info. All I could find was under my contact info it is the status message. I erased that status message and put a new one in its place. But it's still showing the message I erased. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong???

Welcome to Android Central! Where does the other person see this message? I've never seen this before.

Try this: Open the Contacts app, then open your profile entry (on my GS9+, its the top entry in the list, above the contacts I've designated as favorites). Tap the three dots in the upper right, then select Profile sharing. Turn off the toggle at the top of the screen and you should be good to go.

The only things they should see are your callerID name or, if they have you in their Contacts, your name in that app. There shouldn't be anything from your phone that they can see.
