Why am I receiving VIP emails?

[Android Central Question]

only android ever and only gmail, but new phone I get emails under my gmail acct. AND thos "other" email i NEVER SET UP! IT says it's the default email, but I never asked it too.
May I add, old phone was stolen, locked, but don't know if they're doing somethomg, or?

Welcome to Android Central! What do you mean by VIP emails? Are you talking about spam?

You can't get email sent to an "other" email address, unless you have that address set as one of the accounts in your email app. (If the emails are coming to someone other than you, that's a telemarketing trick - they send the email to themselves [or, as one person asked about yesterday or today, to "," - which, of course, never sends], then add a list of real email addresses to the BCC field - and all you could see if you could see that field would be your address. [It's the "Blind Carbon Copy" field - you can't see the other people it was sent to, hence "blind".])
