Lg Aristo. Problem started yesterday. I have taken the battery out, powered the phone off, and re started the router. I cannot sign in to my wifi account. It will not accept my username and password. Meanwhile, my laptop is working. It is only my phone. Other phones in the house are working. My phone is not working on the road either.I took it 3 hours away and could not use the gps by wifi, had to use mobile data.

Welcome to Android Central! Have you already tried forgetting the network, then connecting again? See this guide for other ideas: http://forums.androidcentral.com/amb...-problems.html

Yes I have, and nothing happens. It takes me to the network sign in, whereby I it does not accept my email address and password.

Are you trying to connect to a public wi-fi network like xfinitywireless? If you set up your own wi-fi network at home, you shouldn't have to enter your email address and password on a webpage -- you should just have to enter the wi-fi password (assuming you created one) in a popup dialog window when you first connect to the network.

Yes, xfinity wireless. It will not let me sign in. My laptop is fine. Other members of the household's phones are fine. The only strange that happened is that I had to reset my laptop. However, wireless on it is fine. Not, on my phone. I cannot sign in, nor I can i connect to any wifi anywhere.

Is there any reason you're connecting to xfinitywireless if you have your own router? Why not set up your own personal network? xfinitywireless is the public network that anyone with an Xfinity account can connect to (which is completely separate from your own wi-fi network on the router, so you don't have to worry about security or privacy).

On the phone, are you able to connect to wi-fi at Starbucks, for example? Does it help if you boot into Safe Mode? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-33853

I can't get wifi anywhere. I typed in the above address, and I got the message: You are offline

Go to Settings>Wi-fi. Is the toggle turned on? If so, do you see a list of available wi-fi networks?

I see a lot of networks. All are secured.

Ok, so we know that wi-fi can at least detect nearby networks. Now back to my previous question -- is there a reason why you're trying to connect to the xfinitywireless SSID, rather than your own personal wi-fi network that you presumably set up on your router?

Is your laptop also connecting to xfinitywireless?
