I have a Verizon Pixel XL, and know that it is SIM unlocked for carriers in the US (since I'm using AT&T now, and it works fine)

However, I'm headed to London tomorrow and I want to know if a SIM there will work. Earlier this year, I tried a few different carrier SIMs in Costa Rica and none worked.

    Is London different?

    1. SIM-unlocked is SIM-unlocked, it's not SIM-unlocked for a specific place.

    2. There's also region locking, but that shouldn't affect it.

    3. If the phone doesn't have radios for the area you're in, it won't work, lock or no lock.

    4. Getting a SIM card for any of the following should work:

    3, EE, O2, Vodaphone

Just pop a SIM in, turn the phone on and you should be good to go.
